Briany Reid (Bri), is the Owner, Stylist, and Visionary of Divine Destiny Salon, & Co-Owner of Virginia Cosmetology Occupational Center. In 2009, after praying for a direction to find a passionate career, her prayers were answered. Bri began navigating her journey as a Cosmetologist in 2009. With limited resources, she enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program offered by the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry, while simultaneously working a full-time job in the field of Human Services. The apprenticeship program allowed Bri to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to build a solid Career, a client base and secure Part-time employment as a stylist. In 2012, Bri received her Cosmetology License and took a huge leap of faith with minimal industry knowledge and experience to open Divine Destiny Salon. She left her full-time job with limited career advancement and financial stability in order to seek the unlimited career advancement opportunities that entrepreneurship has to offer. Her journey of FAITH, HARD WORK, CONTINUED EDUCATION, FAILING FORWARD, and PERSEVERANCE, assisted her in developing and sustaining a consistent, secure client base, and the desire to assist other aspiring Cosmetologists and entrepreneurs reach their career goals. Bri is a consummate professional, who holds Customer Service, and Professionalism, to a high standard. She is a spontaneous Master Stylist and educator who possesses an array of certifications, licenses, and specialties including; Cosmetology Instructor, Certified Hair Replacement Specialist (What Alopecia), Hair Cutting, Hair Color, Natural Hair Care, and Extension Certifications. Currently, Bri continues to perfect her craft as an Exclusive Hair Stylist at Divine Destiny Salon. She is also the Co-Owner of the Virginia Cosmetology Occupational Center founded in 2021, where she works alongside a fellow seasoned industry colleague, whose mission is to help individuals in the industry create and navigate a successful Cosmetology Career Path. Aside from her career, Bri is a nurturing Wife, Mother, Sister, Friend, and Mentor, who enjoys spending time with family, traveling, shopping, and continuing self-improvement.

Ashley started her journey at Divine Destiny Salon 5 years ago. After working under Master Stylist, Bri through the apprenticeship program, After Completion of the program, she became a Stylist, and now specializes in Natural Styles, Locs, blowouts, & relaxers. Ashley loves to provide her clients with exciting colors, a new haircut, or longer fuller hair with extensions. Ashley’s personal goal for being a hairstylist is to become a Certified Trichologist. She is currently studying trichology which will help her to determine the specific cause of hair loss & scalp disorders. She enjoys making her clients feel confident about their hair!  She is very excited to get down to the cause of hair loss through genetics, disease, hormonal imbalance, or something else altogether, and also identify different scalp disorders such as Seborrheic Dermatitis,  excessive Dandruff,  & Psoriasis. Her current career goals are to continue to grow and excel in her craft and share all that she learns with her clients. Ashley loves to work together to achieve a beautiful new look that will leave you smiling and more confident than when you came in!

Nikki has had a passion for hair since she was 10 years old. She started off with braids and hasn’t stopped since. She works on mastering her braids every day to make them look flawless on her clients. Although braids are her specialty, she is a perfectionist when it comes to Locs, Blowouts, Twists, and almost every natural or protective style there is. She focuses on the needs of your hair to make it healthy and strong. She’s even been told that she has hands that help your hair grow! There’s more to Nikki than just hair, she loves to laugh and make others laugh, she loves spending time with her family and friends, and she loves to sing a tune when the right music is on. Her absolute favorite thing to do is to spend time with her son Khyree and make the best memories with him.
